About Me
Hey guys!
This is Tatum! I am 17 years old. I was born in California, and grew up in the small town of Monument, CO! I began dancing ballet when I was 12 years old at Zamuel Ballet School in Colorado Springs. During my time there, I found my passion for ballet (with the help of my wonderful teachers German and Valentina), and immediately found what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! I am still extremely in love with my art, and thankful everyday for the opportunities and experiences I live! The past few years I have had the opportunity to dance with ballet stars from world renowned companies (check out my picture gallery and/or facebook to see some!), trained with some of the most prestigious and known ballet school, people, and competitions, and travel the world doing what I love the most! In 2010, I attended the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC on a full artistic scholarship. I loved and learned so much; the training I received (from my amazing teachers, and especially Mme. Mariana Lobanova), the bonds I have made there, and the Kirov life are something special and unforgettable.
Although Kirov gave me a lot, I moved on to begin a new chapter and adventure in my life! Last summer, I was one of 16 students to train on scholarship with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy (my 3rd year with the program in NYC) in the amazing city of Moscow, Russia! After a visit home to CO, I returned to Russia to continue my studies here.
Currently, I am studying at the world renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg. My dream is now my reality! (Dont forget to visit my "Vaganova" page on this blog!) Everyday I am grateful to all of you who support me, and especially those who have helped me along the way and my wonderful family! Love you Mom, Dad, Slate, and everyone else. Without you, I would not be the person I am today! Thank you for everything!<3
